Free Puppies
62Free puppies are everywhere in the classifieds, you see free Pitbull puppies, free Chihuahua puppies and even free English bulldog puppies; the list just goes on and on. You think to yourself "What breed do I want, what breed will be a good match for me and do I know how to raise a puppy?" All very good questions that you should give some careful consideration to. Picking out a free puppy is one thing and it is nice that you are interested in giving it a good home, but raising a puppy can really be a lot of work and you need to be dedicated to his or her needs.
It is important that you pick out puppies for free that fit into your type of lifestyle and their needs too. Do you have lots of room for a large dog to romp around and play? If you are in a small apartment you may want to steer clear of large breeds and go with free Yorkie puppies that will remain small and not require lots of space.

Please consider how much time you have available to train the pup and how much time you can spend with him on a regular basis in the future. Dogs love companionship just as much as people and without it they will suffer. In addition to these needs if they do not get the attention they require they will often resort to chewing on inappropriate items such as your carpeting, shoes and drapes.
If you do not have the luxury of a doggy door the best place to keep your pup while you are not in attendance for potty training is to block him into an area like the kitchen. A piece of plywood secured down, blocking the entryway into the kitchen usually works well. Lay down old newspaper all over an area in the kitchen for him to piddle on. When he does his business gently pick him up and take him outside a few times. You can even take some of the piddled on paper outside and let him sniff around it to get the idea that outdoors is where he is meant to go.
Just a thought, maybe there really is no such thing as a free puppy because you are going to be responsible for taking care of him until he can manage on his own. You want to make sure that you socialize your puppy when he is quite young so that he gets use to other pets, people and sounds. Pets that have not been properly socialized tend to be somewhat uptight and skittish.
As you work with your pup use frequent training sessions such as learning to walk on a leash; keep each session short and reward him with a snack. Never resort to violence with a pup or a dog; some firm commands in a loud tone of voice usually work just fine.
Often time’s free puppies will work out just great for you when you put just a little effort into training, socializing and providing a good secure home. A well trained puppy will turn into a fine companion for life.
