Small Corner Computer Desk

In this corner—or that corner, for that matter—might be your computer desk. In addition, it is not always a large, elaborate piece. A lot of people want something simple and small that will hold everything they need in a computer system and not consume half the room. The corner computer desk is ideal for that, assuming the user does not feel, shall we say, cornered.

Some of these desks include lower shelving, cut away for leg room, on which you can set your computer tower, your printer, or both, depending upon how the shelf is cut.

Some of them have no lower shelving but are supported by bracing planks at the lower ends of the table legs, yet still leave room for you to set your tower and printer, if you prefer to set them on the floor or a small adjacent stand.

Some of them include the lower sliding shelf for your keyboard and perhaps one or two tabletop-mounted casings for software disks.

Some of them include a tabletop shelf riser for your monitor, and some of these include tiny side shelves for your speakers.

Some of them stand on flat floor planks that are wide enough to accommodate your tower and printer while still allowing generous leg room to sit and work. 

Moreover, some of them have no such leg room but seem to work well enough for those who do not like to sit too close to their computers.

The tabletops themselves are shaped variably. The familiar pentagon-shape may or may not be carved into a recess in the front. Some of the tabletops are quarter-circled with the straight sides fitting into the corner. Some are pure curve cut, not fitted to the corner directly but still able to sit there easily without damaging the walls.

Moreover, many of them have room to accommodate tower shelving, for those who like to have everything computer at hand but do not want it to take up half a full-size desk. Some such corner computer desks come with tower shelving as a standard accessory, and much the way with standard shelving you can mount it to your preferences. Some of these tower shelving include software disk racks, speaker shelves, book shelves, and a monitor shelf, the next best thing to a corner hutch.

It is easy to set up your computer without having it take up too much space in your room or home office. How you want to set it will determine the kind of corner computer desk you buy or build.
